Sometimes I feel like purchasing a Halloween costume is like buying a wedding dress. It gets worn ONCE! Most kids get so excited about their costume, so why not give them an extra excuse to wear theirs?! Throw them a party! For this party, I collaborated with Daysigns by Day {here}. These prints are perfect for a children's party with the little dressed up kids!
Activity Table
Throwing a kids party always needs that extra bit of thought put into it because you don't want the kids to get bored at their own party!! Adults can chit-chat the whole time, but the little ones need things to do. I picked up a character pack at Dollar Tree with six different character that come a page of facial features and they make their own character. $1! Perfect! Make a character and eat! What I have learned is children parties should never exceed two hours, at least when they are as little as Charlotte!
For this party, I set the snack table under the fireplace so the whole room can be open and welcoming (and to include my existing decorations). Since this is not a huge production and only going to last not even two hours, I thought to combine snacks and goody bags. Goody bags?? Basically they will be taking home their craft/activity, a spider ring, and any other snacks they want to throw in! But feel free to make goody bags if you want! I had a TON of brown paper bags laying around, so it's a good way to get rid of a few ;)

Also, don't be afraid to ask parents to bring a snack. In this case, the party is for a play group. Asking each parent to bring a "spooky" snack, is not inappropriate. The candy dishes are from Target's Dollar Spot. $3 each.
