Lucky Charm Birthday Party

I'm sure I have said this before, I know I have thought it several times, but when I celebrate Charlotte's birthday, it's more than just another year, but a celebration of her life and how lucky we were to have such a successful pregnancy and aftermath!  LUCKY might not be the right word (maybe blessed, watched over, grateful...you get the point) but there are many days where that is what it feels like.  I believe many parents feel this way about their children and that is why I love this birthday party theme so much.  Especially for the first birthday!

As an alternative to cupcakes, I made individual trifles.  These are the perfect dessert, can be held in your hand with just a spoon.  You can put whatever you want in them too!  These are triple chunk brownies, carmel and chocolate sauce, and cool whip, topped with green sprinkles to pull in the theme!  Yum!  The cupcake toppers stayed up perfectly the whole time.  Place them on a cake stand and WAL-LA!  The perfect, yummiest, creative dessert for your guests!

Valentine's Baby

Have a Valentine's Day baby?  There are a few in my extended family.  And what a great way to celebrate with a holiday and a birthday party!  This featured party is by Mimi's Dollhouse.  I love the package name, "Lovebug."  How perfect for this "love"ly holiday! I always love parties you can personalize and put your child's name on it.  The key to any party is using whatever you have in that color.  I had pink lollipop sticks, red light-up bracelets, red and white peppermint candies, pink flowers and vases...use all of that color!  And place some pictures around of your child.  You can't go wrong with decor.  Make it look nice, like a display in your home.

Loved using a model in this shoot.  We used the 4' decorative circles as necklaces.  Punch a hole, thread baker's twine through and wahla...a perfect party favor right when the children come in!

 I am obsessed with these gable boxes (and use them in almost every party).  Hobby Lobby 10 for $4.99.  Best deal and it makes the goody bags so classy!

Winter ONEderland

I don't know who started the tradition of big one-year old birthday parties, but I love them!  They are always such a great celebration to bring family and friends together.  When Charlotte had hers, I kept thinking to myself that this was more than a birthday party, but a reminder of the many blessings and prayers it took to get her here...safe and sound.  For whatever the story of how your child got here, it deserves a celebration.

Art Party

Recently, I have had the opportunity to team up with Easy Party Printables and stage parties.  I am so excited to see all the fun ideas that come to me as I make these creative themes come to life!! 

I feel pretty confident in saying that every child loves art in some way or another.  Painting, coloring, play doh, chalk...you name it, kids love it!  What's a more brilliant party idea then throwing an ART PARTY?!  

This is such a colorful party, perfect for ANY age, really!  

As you can tell, I am obsessed with these gable boxes!!  I actually just purchased them to wrap Christmas presents in ("brown paper packages tied up with string" ring a bell?) and I thought how perfect to use them for this shoot?

Recognize the white pail?  Used for the Doc McStuffins party.  Also, I saved a bunch of baby food jars...they are now coming in handy :)

I thought I was so clever to roll up tissue paper to improvise for cupcakes.  Turns out, I really hate the way they look.  Next time, there will be real cupcakes!
